We can help you research and sign up for a Medicare Advantage plan.
Also known as Medicare Part C, Medicare Advantage plans are private health insurance plans offered by insurance companies and approved by Medicare. You can sign up for one of these plans as an alternative to Original Medicare (Part A and Part B) to receive additional coverage beyond what is offered through the traditional program.
Here are a few things you should know about Medicare Advantage plans:
- You must have a plan that provides at least the same level of coverage as Original Medicare. However, these plans often include additional benefits, such as dental, vision, hearing, and prescription drug coverage.
- Most Medicare Advantage plans have a network of healthcare providers that have negotiated contracts with the provider. For this reason, you will need to see the healthcare providers in your plan’s network to maximize your benefits.
- Most Medicare Advantage plans have a different cost-sharing arrangement than Original Medicare. Depending on your plan, you may pay monthly premiums, deductibles, copays, or coinsurance for covered services.
- If you want to sign up for a Medicare Advantage plan, you must already be enrolled in Medicare Part A and B and also live in your plan’s service area. You can typically sign up for a Medicare Advantage plan during the annual enrollment period.
